I thought the first post should be a short summary of how we got to where we are today. I used to be a fun time gal living in Evansville, IN. I'd dance on the bar, going running with my training group, lay out at the pool, and spend lots of quality time at the mall. Until one day my sister forced (insert sarcasm) me to go out for some drinks when I came home to visit. A few months after those drinks I decided to move home because I had met Andy that night out with my sister. Next thing ya' know four years later (2010) we found out we were having a BABY!!!! We jokingly nicknamed him B.O.B after we found out the baby was a boy in January 2011. B.O.B stood for Baby on Board. I had a pretty easy pregnancy minus the swelling and 50 pounds of weight gain! Ugh. Many things happened while I was pregnant.....let's see.... **I was caught in my pre-BOB x-small bikini twice by Andy's brother and buddy in my 8th and 9th months **I pulled into and parked at Benjamin's restaurant on my way to work because I forgot where I was going **My swelling was so bad I actually couldn't hear very well and I lost feeling in my right hand **I couldn't eat enough pizza and ice cream to satisfy my cravings **I never wore pants that buttoned **I fell down face first on concrete in a storm with hail 2 weeks before my due date in which I still have a scar from **I went into labor grocery shopping at the Target in Lafayette 2 miles from my doctor's office. Did I go straight there? Hell NO! I had just bought groceries that absolutely had to be taken home first. So I drove an hour home IN LABOR unloaded the items that needed refrigeration and drove another hour back to my doctor's office while having 1 minute long contractions every 4 minutes! **Labor was a cinch. After my epidural and 4 pushes BOB became real!
So My BOB was named Wyatt William Cole at 12:21 am June 8, 2011. He was 7 pounds 7 ounces and 21.25 inches long. Today he goes by many names such as: The WWC, Money Man, Turd Burglar, Mr Squishy, and BuddyBear. I will be honest until here recently I really didn't enjoy having a baby. He has NEVER been a good sleeper, hard to keep entertained, and has already suffered with a double ear infection which has made him super cranky over a month. No one is ever honest. No one ever says "Man having a baby can be miserable". All the mom's I ever talked to would just gloat about how awesome having a baby is and how its a pure joy. Well they are liars. I love my baby but I'm gonna be real people, it's a tough thing to adjust to. No sleep, No social life, Your old clothes and FAVORITE jeans still don't fit, there is NO relaxation time, you can no longer come and go as you please......Well apparently if your the dad you can still do as you please but not for us mothers who aren't lucky enough to have a sitter. It's hard but I am getting there on the adjustment and my Mr. Squishy is sleeping better and healthy again so he is getting there too. Don't get me wrong, I do love him to pieces and think he is the CUTEST thing I have ever seen. I love to hear him giggle, its so funny. He is so SMART! I know all moms say that but really he is! His favorite time of day is bath time. He just loves getting a bath but screams the entire time I am applying his lotion afterwards. I love buying new clothes for him so much that I may need counseling for the addiction. I love him the most when he is sleeping, not because he is quiet but because he is just 10 times cuter all snuggled up in his footed pj's holding his blankey with his paci bouncing up and down =) I am already brainwashing him to say "Mommy is A-W-E-S-O-M-E" and to love WWE. He also doesn't know that his favorite character is Cookie Monster, but he will learn. So that is just a bit about my life with the WWC.
